Pedro Acosta Signs with Ducati for 2027 & 2028
The MotoGP paddock's most exciting young talent has made the biggest move of his career. Quad Lock Sport Ambassador Pedro Acosta has officially signed with the Ducati Lenovo Team for the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP seasons.
Nicknamed "The Shark", the 22-year-old Spaniard has been turning heads since arriving on the world championship stage. After winning the Moto3 World Championship in his rookie season and the Moto2 World Championship in his second Moto2 campaign, Acosta made his MotoGP debut in 2024. Thirteen premier-class podiums later, he'll line up in Ducati red alongside seven-time MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez.
Where Two Partnerships Come Together
Acosta has been a Quad Lock Sport Ambassador throughout his MotoGP career, and that connection runs even deeper now. Quad Lock also holds an official licensing partnership with Ducati, meaning our relationship with the Italian manufacturer extends beyond the racetrack. When Acosta joins the Ducati Lenovo Team in 2027, two of our most important partnerships will come together on the MotoGP grid.
Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali described Acosta as "undoubtedly one of the most talented young riders in the MotoGP paddock" and said he is the kind of rider capable of writing "a new and exciting chapter" for the team. Ducati Corse General Manager Luigi Dall'Igna added that Acosta "represents the ideal candidate for the future of the Ducati Lenovo Team", praising both his talent and remarkable rate of development.
Looking Ahead to 2027
The Ducati Lenovo Team lineup of Acosta and Marquez is already shaping up as one of the most anticipated rider pairings in recent MotoGP history. Both riders are fiercely competitive and will play key roles as Ducati enters MotoGP's new technical era from 2027.
For Quad Lock, it's a proud moment. Our Sport Ambassador and our licensed Ducati partner will come together at the highest level of motorcycle racing – a natural alignment built on a shared commitment to performance, innovation and precision.
We can't wait to see what Pedro Acosta and Ducati achieve together.
