Bike Security Just Got Louder: Quad Lock Launches the Bike Alarm & Finder

Bike Alarms vs Trackers: What’s the Best Way to Protect Your Bike?

Bike alarms can help deter theft, while trackers help locate a bike after it’s taken. The Quad Lock Bike Alarm & Finder combines a 93 dBA motion-triggered alarm, fingerprint arm/disarm and Apple’s Find My network in one device.

Every cyclist knows the feeling. You lock up, walk away, and look back one more time. Bike theft is common, and most security products only solve half the problem: an alarm scares off an opportunistic thief, or a tracker helps you find your bike after it's already gone. Rarely both.

The Quad Lock Bike Alarm & Finder changes that. It's Quad Lock's first dedicated bike security device, combining a 93 dBA motion-triggered alarm, one-touch fingerprint arm/disarm and Apple's Find My network in a single unit. No app required for everyday use. No subscription.

What Is the Quad Lock Bike Alarm & Finder?

The Bike Alarm & Finder is a compact security device that mounts directly onto your bike using Quad Lock's existing mount ecosystem. It's designed to do two things most competing products can't: stop a theft from happening, and help you recover your bike if it does.

When unwanted movement is detected, the device triggers a 93 dBA alarm, loud enough to draw immediate attention and deter opportunistic theft. If the bike is taken anyway, Apple's Find My network lets you track it through the Find My app, the same way you'd locate an AirPods case or an iPhone.

How the Fingerprint Sensor Works

Most bike security devices force you to pull out your phone, open an app or enter a code every time you park. The Bike Alarm & Finder skips that. A single touch of the built-in fingerprint sensor arms or disarms the device instantly.

It stores up to 20 fingerprints, so if you share a bike with a partner, housemate or riding group, everyone can arm and disarm it without passing around a phone or a code.

Why This Matters for Riders

Most bike security solutions do one job. The Bike Alarm & Finder does three:

  1. Deters theft with a loud, motion-triggered alarm
  2. Helps you recover your bike through Apple's Find My network
  3. Removes daily friction with fingerprint-only arming, no app needed

"We didn't set out to build another AirTag holder or another alarm. We built something that does both, so your bike is protected before, during and after a theft attempt. The goal was to make bike security as effortless and dependable as the rest of the Quad Lock ecosystem," said Rob Cuzner, Senior Product Design Engineer at Quad Lock.

Does It Need a Subscription?

No. The Bike Alarm & Finder uses Apple's Find My network for location tracking, which means no separate tracking subscription or monthly fee, unlike many standalone GPS trackers.

The Bottom Line

The Bike Alarm & Finder is built for riders who've accepted a compromise for too long: an alarm that only deters, or a tracker that only recovers. Quad Lock built one device that does both, and made it as effortless to use as the rest of its ecosystem.
